Four glass mosaics decorate the inside of the dome in the Wisconsin  capitol building. This mosaic, Justice, is 'represented by a young woman seated in a lion throne, who tests the scales in the balance to demonstrate the purely judicial function of weighing one cause against the other.' Photograph by Ray LaPoint.

Our mosaics won't be this fancy, but Justice can inspire us!

Join Lynn Marcks from the nIc Foundation for storytelling through musical sounds and words.  Make your own homemade musical instruments including drums and mallets; shakers; guiros; and wind pipes. Experiment with rhythmic patterns using washboards, bottles, jugs, flower pots, and wooden spoons. Add brushes, brooms, and mallets for interesting sounds. Play and sing along with Mrs. Marcks on the banjo, guitar, and autoharp to generational songs like “Skip to My Lou”, “Oh, Susanna”, “Bill Grogan’s Goat”, and “Polly-Wolly Doddle.”  Come join the musical Hoe-Down of fun!
