Fantastic storyteller Lynn Marcks from the nIc Foundation will be sharing an interactive story about family and belonging called "Stellaluna Bat Squeaks." Children will have the opportunity to create various “bat sounds and squeaks.” Come prepared to be loud and squeaky!

Storytelling Family Style

Tuesday, April 21, 2009 - 6:30pm - 7:30pm

The Scandinavia Public Library is hosting the program Storytelling Family Style, sponsored by the non-profit nIc Foundation. Storytelling Family Style promotes the development of positive character traits and values as a means to stopping crime and violence in our rural communities. Pre-school & elementary school aged children and their families are invited to attend. This program is free and open to the public.

A waving American flag with foreworks in the foregroundLynn Marcks, president of the nIc Foundation, will share stories, songs, and dances about freedom and patriotism! Children will have the opportunity to creatively express themselves and to enter a drawing to win fantastic prizes! Refreshments will be served. Ages 3-11.

 This program is part of the nIc Violence Prevention for Families initiative promoting the development of positive character traits and values as a means to stopping crime and violence in our rural communities.
